Updated Info From Janice!!

I don't know what the temperature is like in your neck of the woods, but here in Southern Ontario, it is HOT! HOT! HOT!!!  My husband said that he heard or read somewhere that this has been the hottest summer for us since they started tracking temperatures back in the early 30's!  I believe it!    We have 2 large dogs, live in a 90 year old house without central air, so the picture above adequately reflects how they feel some days!  Thank goodness for window a/c units!

However, our dog Peanut loves to sit outside on the bench on our back porch and watch the world go by.  This is one of his favourite 'look out' spots!

If you are looking for a way to stay cool, Nook Design Team Member, Jennifer Cassista posted this recipe for a cool refreshing drink:

1 (12-ounce) can pink lemonade concentrate
4 cups raspberry sherbet
1 (12-ounce) can of lemon/lime soda (I used Sprite)

1. In a pitcher, mix the lemonade concentrate with the recommended amount of water.

2. In a blender, combine the sherbet with 4 cups of the lemonade mixture; mix until combined. Pour into individual glasses. Add the soda, stir gently and serve.

Wherever you are, I hope you are finding your own ways to stay cool!

I heard from a few people that they didn't get the last email we sent out prior to our Open House on July 7th -- until AFTER the event!!  I'm not sure how that happened, since it was sent out the Thursday before.   Oh well!!  Technology is great, but I guess even it has a bad day sometimes!

If you missed the Open House, no worries -- we'll be hosting another one in September.

Crafters & Hobby Association (CHA)

CHA starts this week, so I've been busy combing manufacturer blogs to see what is new!  There is LOTS of wonderful, exciting new products that will be released soon!   Do you have a favourite?  We would love to hear from you!  Join our message board and share your favourite new releases with us!  We'd love to hear from you.  You can see what some other's have been saying HERE.

Christmas In July!

I know it's way to early -- and hot! -- to be thinking about Christmas, but Authentique released this beautiful line of Christmas papers -- Festive.   Check out the Authentique BLOG for some inspiration.  I also think this would be great to alter a Maya Road Vintage Memory Box or House Shadow Box and give as a gift.

Here is a peak at the papers, but you can see more HERE.
