New Nook News from Janice - September 19th

I had my first hot chocolate of the season today! It was a little chilly in the house today, but way to early to be turning on the furnace!  That would mean the end of summer and I'm not ready for that!!!

How do you like your hot chocolate?   We have a Tassimo, but I don't like the hot chocolates that you can get with it-- I like mine made with milk and a little whipped cream to top it off.  Can't get all that with a Tassimo!  However, when I'm looking for a nice cup of Earl Grey tea or a Chai Latte, I LOVE my Tassimo!

Well -- time to move on.  Have to go watch the season premier of Survivor tonight! ;-)

What's New!

Just when I think I've made room for everything, more product comes in and I get to shuffle everything around again!  :-)

The End of Summer...

Today is the last 'unofficial' day of summer!  Tomorrow the kids go back to school and we will be having to watch out for the those yellow school buses and slowing down around school zones.  Wishing all the kids a great first day back to school -- and a great school year!

Did you look forwad to going back to school?   I know I didn't!  I never liked school and always dreaded going back.   Not sure I'd enjoy it any more as an adult either!

The start of a new school year also means the start of cooler days and nights.   I like the cooler nights!  We live in a 90 year old house and don't have central air, so the cooler nights make for a much better sleep!

To end our summer, my husband and his best friend did 15 laps around MoSport racetrack in a NASCAR car -- again!!   They had a blast!   The wives each did a 5-lap trip around as a 'ride-along' -- we were the passengers in a NASCAR vehicle with a professional driver behind the wheel.  What an experience that was!  LOTS of fun.  I'm not going to talk about trying to get in and out of the car...   If you have a NASCAR fan in your house, I would highly recommend trying it out.   Just check out Rusty Wallace Racing Experience to see where they will be.

Now we head back to our regular scheduled programming.... :-)
