One minor (and hopefully very temporary) change to my post from yesterday:

Well it's been 4 days since Scrapping Nook Ltd. opened it's doors and so far it has been great! Thanks to all those who came out to the opening. It was great to catch up with old friends and make some new ones!

For all our out-of-town friends -- the online store will be opening this Saturday, January 16th! Place an order over $100 (before taxes and after discounts) and receive free shipping! We hope that our point of sale sytem will make your shopping experience a positive one. Please note that our inventory is only updated once a purchase has been made, so if you leave items in your basket without checking out, they may no longer be available when you do finally check out. At this time, the payment options are PayPal or you can call the store with your credit card number.
CHA is just around the corner. We've been posting some sneak peeks at the message board - http://www.thescrappingnook.ca/ -- so be sure to check it out to see a sampling of the new products that the manufacturers will be releasing at the end of January. Lots of these new products will be hitting the shelves at the Nook soon!
With all the snow that we've been getting here in Southern Ontario, it seems fitting that we are holding a class for the Bo-Bunny Winter Edgy album. There is a sample one in the store, if you want to stop by and check it out. It's a beautiful album that would be great for capturing your winter memories.

Date: Wednesday, January 27th
Cost: $40.00 plus taxes

There are limited seats available, so please call the store @ 905 732-9994 to sign up!
Here is our calendar for January. This month, the Copic Club is free, so if you haven't tried these wonderful markers out, call the store and sign up for the class. Heather Goodes, our resident Copic expert, will be there to show you to use the Copics to create wonderful cards! These markers are so versatile -- they are a must have!

Thursday, January 7, 2010

Mark your calendars for this Saturday, January 9th, 2010, as it is the day the doors to the brand new Scrapping Nook Ltd. will open!!

Location:
301 Thorold Road, Welland, Ontario at the corner of Thorold Rd., and Prince Charles Drive situated between the Bear's Den Restaurant and the Golf Ball store.
Hours:
Tuesday - Saturday 10:00 - 5:00
Thursday: 10:00 - 7:00
Sunday & Monday: Closed

Our sign maker is hard at work putting the finishing touches on our store front and pillar signage so that you can find us easily; unfortunately our signage will not be installed at the time of our opening. We're easy to find though, as we're in the same plaza as the Shell station and Mac's Milk right on the southwest corner of Thorold Road and Prince Charles. And there is LOTS of parking available!

During the first few days of operation, we are unable to accept debit or credit payments, as our processing system is not fully in place. We are doing our very best to remedy this and hope to have full payment options available in the very near future. In the meantime, we can accept cash only.

Our online store (avaialbe at www.thescrappingnook.ca) is still under construction, but we've got great inventory that we are working hard at loading up. Our new point of sale system will ensure that our fill rates are some of the best out there! Watch for an announcement when our online store is ready for its debut!

Getting the store ready to open in such a short time span has been a tremendous effort and I would like to thank all of those involved in helping me with this venture. We hope that our customers will bear with us in the coming weeks as we work through any last minute challenges that may crop up.

It is my sincere hope that we will quickly become your #1 scrapbooking source in the Niagara Region and I look forward to meeting each and every one of you over the coming months.
